Vastalla, along with partners University of Turin (Italy), Université catholique de Louvain (Belgium) and Medical University of South Carolina (USA), has been awarded a third parabolic flights campaign by the European Space Agency. The R&D project is called “Spatial Attention and Motor Awareness in Altered Gravitational Environments” (GRAVITO) and its experiments will fly again next March.

GRAVITO is studying the effects of microgravity on human subjects using special purpose equipment that runs specific tests on human subjects. As in the previous two campaigns, the team and the scientific equipment of the GRAVITO project will fly onboard the specially adapted Airbus A300 ‘Zero-G’ aircraft operated by Novespace, a CNES subsidiary.
